Abstract

The current research aims to clarify the relationship between certain economic variables, such as income, consumption patterns, standard of living, and family size, in the city of Zliten, from the perspective of faculty members at the Faculty of Science, Al-Asmarya Islamic University. The research is based on the hypothesis that a relationship exists between certain economic factors and family size in Zliten, as perceived by faculty members at the Faculty of Science, Al-Asmarya Islamic University. The descriptive-analytical method was employed, relying on a questionnaire to collect data from the research sample. The research concluded that there is a direct correlation between improved living standards and an increase in family size, and that there is a relationship between family size and certain economic indicators, such as consumption patterns and income. This relationship has been reflected in population growth in the city and a decrease in the number of family members.
