The Russian-Ukrainian Crisis (Causes – Implications)

Abstract

The world is witnessing a major crisis against the backdrop of the outbreak of the Russian–Ukrainian war, in light of the significant repercussions of this war which have gone beyond its parties to include the world with its various regions. This study sheds light on the repercussions of the Russian–Ukrainian war by monitoring and analyzing the historical roots of this crisis, the reasons for the outbreak of the current war, its developments, and clarifying the political, security, economic, and military repercussions of this war and other repercussions as well.

This study also addressed the future of the Russian–Ukrainian crisis. And to address the main problem of this study, represented in: Knowing the main causes of the Russian–Ukrainian crisis and its repercussions on the international system? We divided this study into two requirements. In the first requirement, we dealt with the conceptual framework of the Russian–Ukrainian crisis. In the second requirement, the repercussions of the Russian–Ukrainian crisis and its future.

The study relies on the historical method: which was employed by returning to the various historical events of this crisis; and the descriptive analytical method: through identifying the causes of the occurrence of the Russian–Ukrainian crisis; and the case study method: with the aim of reaching an understanding of the Russian–Ukrainian crisis through uncovering the causes of the crisis and identifying its repercussions.
