Abstract

The study Aimed to examine the to which the principle of disclosure and transparency is applied in Libyan commercial Banks, as well as to Identify the reality of Adopting Social Responsibility by Libyan Banks. The study reached a set of results, the most important attention to social responsibility, particular in creating job opportunities for youth and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, in addition to supporting developmental, educational, and environmental projects. The study also recommended that banks enhance the principle of transparency in all activities related to social responsibility, especially by providing clear and sufficient information through their websites and communicating with members of society in order to strengthen and increase customers’ trust in the bank.
