Abstract

This study aimed to identify the levels of Family Climate, Citizenship Values, and Psychological Security among university students. It further sought to examine the direct and indirect effects of the various dimensions of Family Climate on Citizenship Values, specifically exploring the role of Psychological Security as a mediating variable. The researchers adopted a descriptive-analytical approach, utilizing Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) for data analysis. Data was collected using a questionnaire specifically designed for the study variables. The study was conducted on a sample of 370 students from various applied, humanitarian, and medical colleges at the University of Benghazi.

The results revealed that the level of Family Climate among students was high, the levels of both Psychological Security and Citizenship Values were moderate, there is a significant direct positive effect of Family Climate on Citizenship Values, there is a significant indirect effect of Family Climate on Citizenship Values through the mediating role of Psychological Security.
